STOLEN is shortlisted for 2010 Book of the Year by the Children's Book Council of Australia

Children's Book Council of Australia

This is really exciting news, and we are absolutely thrilled that STOLEN has been shortlisted for the 2010 award for Older Readers by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. What an absolute delight to be chosen!

Lucy is especially thrilled to be shortlisted for this award as she grew up in Australia, spending most of her life in Melbourne (where she still has a base). This award is one of the most prestigious in Australian Children’s Literature, and the result is followed eagerly by librarians, booksellers, parents and teens. It means such a great deal to be among such a talented short list for this year, including such brilliant writers as David Metzenthen and Judith Clarke.

There are six books in total that have been shortlisted, and the results will be announced August 20th this year. If you want to visit the CBCA website to get more information, the address is here – http://cbca.org.au/ShortList.htm
